The war continues between Pakistan and Afghanistan. On Sunday, the Afghan army said that at least 23 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the overnight clash on the border. Along with this, the Afghan army has also claimed to have killed more than 200 terrorists associated with Taliban and it. Both Afghan and Pakistani armies are blaming each other. The situation on the border has worsened but amid all this, everyone is surprised as to what Saudi Arabia is doing? A few days ago, Pakistan had a defense agreement with Saudi in which it was agreed that an attack on one country would be considered an attack on both the countries. But in the current situation of Pakistan, instead of supporting it, Saudi has only consoled it.
Saudi gave advice to Pakistan
The statement has been issued by the government of Saudi Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry has advised to exercise ‘self-restraint’ amid violent clashes on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan so that the situation does not worsen. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in its statement, ‘Saudi Arabia is watching with concern the tensions and clashes taking place in the border areas between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan. “We urge all to exercise restraint, not allow the situation to escalate, and exercise dialogue and discretion, which will help reduce tensions and maintain the security and stability of the region.”
Pakistan is divided
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said, Saudi Arabia supports all regional and international efforts that aim to promote peace and stability and always strives to ensure that security is established for the brotherly Pakistani and Afghan peoples, thereby achieving stability and prosperity.
It is worth noting that after the defense agreement with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan was boasting everywhere that if all the Muslim countries come together then a grand alliance like NATO can be formed, but now its loud statements have remained. The claims with Pakistan seem to be in vain.
