Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: An 18 feet high statue of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram made of 1.5 lakh coins has been installed in Fun Republic Mall. It was unveiled by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Tuesday.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Shri Ram has arrived before Diwali, so it is obvious that prosperity will also arrive. He said that Shri Ram is worshipable by all of us. We should follow the path shown by him. He told the general manager of the mall, Ashwini Singh Hamara, that the program will continue till Diwali. In the coming days, Contemporary Ramayana and Shop and Win competitions will be organised. The shopper of this competition will be given a one gram gold coin. Apart from this, cultural programs and competitions will also be organised.
The general manager of the mall said that the statue has been made from 1.5 lakh coins of Rs 1, 5 and 10 denominations. The statue has been prepared by 25 artisans from Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Kolkata. It took 20 days to make it. Apart from the Asia Book of World Records, this confluence of faith and art has also been recorded in the India Book of World Records. Judge Pramil Dwivedi also handed over its certificate and medal.
