New Delhi. US veteran tech company Apple has taken a big decision about creating an iPhone in India. President Donald Trump had pressurized Apple CEO Tim Cook during his visit to Qatar in the past to start production in America by not production of iPhones in India and China. Now government sources from newspaper The Times of India have told that Apple has informed the government that it is not going to reduce iPhone construction in India, but is going to increase. It is clear that the company has not come under the pressure of Trump.
According to government sources, Apple has told the Government of India that it will invest about $ 2.5 billion to increase the production of iPhone. Apple has said that it intends to create more than 60 million iPhones in India. Whereas, Apple currently makes 40 million iPhones in India. Most of the Apple iPhones made in India are exported. A large part of the export of iPhone is done to the US. Apple has also prepared to make iPhone-17 in India. According to government sources, Apple is satisfied with proper conditions, quality and other basic facilities for construction in India.
Donald Trump had asked Apple CEO Tim Cook to make iPhone construction in India.
Earlier, during his visit to Qatar, US President Donald Trump had pressurized that he had some problem with Apple CEO Tim Cook. Trump had said that I have told Tim Cook that my friend, I am taking care of you a lot. Trump further said that now I have come to know that you are building many places in India (of iPhone). I do not want you to build in India. Tim Cook did not respond to Trump’s statement, but he has now decided to increase the production of Apple’s iPhone in India. In such a situation, the eye is on whether Donald Trump will now take any action against Apple?
