Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday wished everyone on Dhanteras and Diwali, sharply criticized the Yogi administration, terming it a “useless government” and saying, “Don’t expect electricity from it.” Addressing a gathering, the SP chief said, “This is a useless government. Don’t expect electricity from it. The condition of the state is such that there are traffic jams everywhere in Lucknow, yet it is being called a smart city.”
He further said that an FIR should be registered against the officer who declared Lucknow as the third smartest city. He further said, “There is so much garbage and traffic in the city. Despite spending crores of rupees, the traffic is not being controlled.”
Akhilesh Yadav criticized the role of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Bihar elections, saying that instead of campaigning, he is creating division. He accused the NDA government of spreading hatred, negative views and ostracizing a group of citizens.
On the other hand, Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, accusing them of derailing the development of Bihar by promoting divisive “development versus burqa” politics. Yogi said, “Those who had once pushed Bihar into jungle raj, are again trying to mislead the people.” He cautioned voters against “fraudulent voting” and alleged that the RJD-Congress wanted to return to the era of ballot snatching and fake voting. He said that these parties oppose EVMs because they fear transparent elections.
The Chief Minister reminded the gathering of the dark days of Bihar between 1990 and 2005, saying that under the RJD-Congress rule, “the land of knowledge became a den of crime and dynasty rule.” He accused them of harboring mafias and forcing Biharis to migrate in search of livelihood.
