Three people died in a bike-truck collision near Tengra Mod in Varanasi’s Ramnagar police station area on Wednesday afternoon. According to Additional Police Commissioner Atul Anjan, officials immediately inspected the spot and the bodies of the deceased were sent to the mortuary.
The accident truck is registered in Chhattisgarh and upon contacting the owner and interrogating the driver, it was revealed that the driver is originally from Jharkhand. Whereas, the deceased man was originally a resident of Mirzapur, while the woman was a resident of Chandauli.
Atul Anjan told ANI, “Today at around 12:30 pm, a tragic incident was reported from Tengra Mod under Ramnagar police station, in which three people lost their lives. It was a motorcycle accident involving a truck. I immediately inspected the accident site along with officials of the local police station. The bodies were sent to the mortuary for further legal procedures.”
“The families of the deceased were contacted and called to the spot,” he said. He further said, “The accident truck is registered in Chhattisgarh. Upon contacting the owner and interrogating the driver, it was revealed that the driver was originally from Jharkhand. According to the information received, the deceased male was originally from Mirzapur, while the female was from Chandauli.” Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the unfortunate road accident that occurred in Varanasi district. Deeply saddened by the loss of many lives. He has expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
The Chief Minister has instructed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and provide proper treatment. He has also wished for his speedy recovery.
