Jalandhar . Jalandhar Police of Punjab has cracked down hard on illegal arms smuggling. Police have recovered 6 more pistols (.32 bore) from three miscreants of Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya gang. With this, the total number of pistols recovered in this case has increased to 8. Earlier, two pistols had already been seized. Police gave this information on their social media X handle on Tuesday.
According to Punjab Police, the arrested accused have been identified as Mankaran Singh Deol, Simranjeet Singh and Jaiveer Singh. Preliminary investigation has revealed that these three gangsters are close associates of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. He had received the consignment of pistol from Madhya Pradesh. Police believe that these accused were working to supply weapons to various criminal gangs of Punjab.
Police have registered the case in Rama Mandi police station. Interrogation of the accused is going on. Police are investigating back and forth connections. Police are trying to find out where the weapons came from, who supplied them and which gangs they were going to reach.
