New Delhi, January 1 (IANS). There are many exercises available to keep the body healthy, through which overall health can be taken care of. Did you know that you can channel new energy throughout your body with the help of your hands and palms?

This will surprise you, but it is true. We are talking about clapping. Clapping is a simple and easy action, but it is a ‘magical cure’ for the body.

In Ayurveda, clapping is called ‘Kar Vadan Kriya’. In Ayurveda, it is believed that hands and palms represent all the parts of the body or in simple language, the palms have a connection with the entire body. All the important points of the body are present in the palms, which help in reducing many disorders of the body. Just clapping for 10 to 15 minutes daily can save you from dozens of serious diseases.

‘Acupressure’ is an ancient method which has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. Even BP and sugar can be controlled by the method of acupressure, but for that it is necessary to know the right heart point. Today we will tell you the countless benefits of clapping for 10 to 15 minutes.

Clapping reduces the pressure on the heart and blood arteries. It also reduces cholesterol. Due to reduction in cholesterol, the blood arteries work better for blood circulation and the risk of BP and heart disease is reduced. You will be surprised to know that clapping reduces stress. Clapping reduces the production of stress hormone cortisol and increases the level of ‘dopamine’ and ‘serotonin’ in the brain, which makes the mind happy and provides relief from stress and anxiety. It is also helpful in getting good sleep.

Clapping is very beneficial for asthma patients. It accelerates the circulation of oxygen in the blood, due to which the right amount of oxygen reaches the brain and lungs. It also helps in strengthening the functioning of the lungs. Apart from this, clapping also affects digestion and immunity. It has a direct connection with the intestine and liver. Clapping increases the digestive fire of the stomach and also reduces the problems of constipation and gas formation.
