New Delhi, October 29 (IANS). Brain related diseases are troubling people of every section across the country. Cases of brain stroke are increasing due to excessive stress and bad lifestyle.
Today is World Stroke Day 2025 and today has brought some measures and asanas to reduce the risk of stroke, which are beneficial for the health of the entire body.
Brain stroke is a condition when blood flow to the brain is interrupted and both blood and oxygen are unable to reach the brain. Apart from this, there are also cases like bursting of brain veins, in which blood spreads or due to pressure, the veins of the brain get compressed and do not function properly. Both these conditions are called ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke.
Ischemic stroke is not fatal, but hemorrhagic stroke has a lower chance of survival. If timely treatment is not given, the patient’s condition worsens.
In such a situation, it is necessary to make some changes in lifestyle so that the pressure on the brain is reduced and oxygen can reach it fully. For this, help of yoga and pranayam can be taken. To reduce brain stress in the morning and evening, you can do Bhramari Pranayam, Anulom-Vilom Pranayam, Kapalbhati Pranayam and Bhujang Asana. All these asanas will help in proper delivery of breath to the brain and blood flow will also be good.
Omega-3 fatty acids are most important for the brain to function properly, which is mainly not available in food and is found in aquatic organisms, but walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids, which helps in improving memory and reduces the risk of stroke.
Apart from this, it is very important to get enough sleep. If sleep is complete then the whole body recovers well. Apart from this, one should avoid consuming alcohol, smoking and coffee.
