Mumbai, November 1 (IANS). Due to GST 2.0 reforms and strong festive demand, there has been a huge jump in the sales of two-wheelers in October last month.
TVS Motor has reported 11 percent growth in sales. At the same time, Suzuki Motorcycle India has also reported an increase of 8 percent in its sales.
According to the information given by TVS Motor, the company sold a total of 5,43,557 units in October last month, which shows an increase of 11 percent from 4,89,015 units of the company in the same period last year.
According to the company, a total of 5,25,150 units were sold in the two-wheeler segment. Whereas in the same period last year, the company had sold 478,159 units. This represents an increase of 10 percent on an annual basis.
Additionally, the company sold 4,21,631 units in the domestic market, registering a year-on-year growth of 8 percent compared to 3,90,489 units in October 2024.
TVS Motor sold a total of 2,66,715 motorcycles in October, registering a growth of 16 percent year-on-year. Whereas the same figure for scooters was 2,05,919 units, which shows an increase of 7 percent from 1,93,439 units in October 2024.
Apart from this, the company’s electric two-wheeler sales also increased by 11 percent year-on-year to 32,387 units, while the three-wheeler segment sold 18,407 units.
Suzuki Motorcycle India, on the other hand, recorded its highest ever monthly sales in October with sales of 1,29,261 units. The company had sold a total of 1,20,055 units in October last year, which shows a growth of 8 percent on an annual basis.
The company sold 1,03,454 units in the domestic market and exported 25,807 units. In October last year, the company had sold 15,115 units, which shows an increase of 71 percent.
