RJD leader and Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the recent double murder in Arrah, Bihar, alleging that the crime was committed by “criminals protected by those in power”.

In a post on Twitter, Yadav alleged that NDA candidates are causing “a lot of bloodshed” in the state ahead of the assembly elections. Taking aim at Prime Minister Modi, Yadav asked him to mention “Jungle Raj” in his speech.

Tejashwi Yadav wrote on

Respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Yes,

Do you know that yesterday in Arrah, father and son Pramod Kushwaha and Priyanshu Kushwaha were shot dead by criminals protected by power.

Please mention Jungle Raj in your speech. Your candidates are creating a lot of bloodshed.

— Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) November 1, 2025

Father and son were killed by unknown assailants in Arrah of Bhojpur district of Bihar. Police are investigating the matter to find out the reason for the incident.

Speaking to ANI on Friday, Ara Sadar SDPO Raj Kumar Sah said, “We got information about the incident in the morning and immediately reached the spot. We are investigating the incident. They were a father-son duo.”

Asked if the incident was election-related, the officer said, “No, it was not. As per preliminary information, their engagement was scheduled in 1-2 days. We will know the reason only after investigation.”

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, Jan Suraj supporter Dularchand Yadav was killed after a clash between two groups during campaigning for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in Mokama, Bihar.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav condemned the violence in Mokama. Speaking to reporters, Yadav stressed that violence has no place in democratic countries. He also raised questions on the action taken by the administration and the Election Commission in connection with this incident.

Yadav said, “There should be no room for violence in a democracy. We wonder how a convoy of 40 vehicles can roam around with weapons? What is the Election Commission doing? What is the administration doing? What action has been taken so far? A murder has taken place, there are many witnesses. But the administration is silent. No investigation is being done. Who is protecting the goons?”
