New Delhi, November 3 (IANS). Giving information on Monday, Air India said that a flight of the airline coming from San Francisco to Delhi had to land midway due to fear of technical fault.
Issuing an official statement, the airline said, “On November 2, flight AI174 from San Francisco to Kolkata, en route to Delhi, had to land in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, due to a suspected technical glitch.”
Giving further information, the company said, “The aircraft has landed safely in Ulaanbaatar and all necessary checkups are being carried out.”
Air India spokesperson said that the airline is working closely with its partners to help all the passengers and are trying to get everyone to their destination as soon as possible.
Air India apologized to passengers, saying, “We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to this sudden situation. At Air India, the safety of passengers and crew is our top priority.
According to the information being given on the Air India flight status tracking system, AI174, after taking off from San Francisco at 2:47 pm on November 2, landed in Ulaanbaatar at around 7:40 pm.
Earlier, in October, Air India’s flight from Mumbai to Newark, New Jersey city of America had to return due to a technical fault after take off.
The information given by the airline said, “On October 22, the crew of flight AI191 from Mumbai to Newark detected a suspected technical fault, after which the aircraft had to be returned to Mumbai. The aircraft returned to Mumbai safely and the necessary inspection of the aircraft is being done.”
