Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the next government in Bihar with a two-thirds majority. He said that people are comparing the rule of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) with the 20-year tenure of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Addressing an election rally in Banka district, Singh said, “Till date, there has not been a single allegation of corruption against Nitish Kumar, while many RJD leaders are facing corruption cases.” He said that during the RJD rule, people were intimidated, whereas the NDA government has worked in the interest of the public.
The Defense Minister said, “During the RJD rule, the health budget of Bihar was only Rs 700 crore, which has now increased to Rs 20,000 crore under the NDA government. This is a proof of how serious the government is about the health of the public.”
Taking aim at the Congress, Singh said, “Congress never wanted the roads in the border areas to be better. RJD also did not want development to take place in Bihar. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ended the anti-development thinking in the country’s politics.” He said, “When Modi took power, the Indian economy was ranked 11th in the world.
Today it is at fifth position and will soon reach third position.” Talking on the issue of terrorism, Singh said that after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India destroyed the hideouts of terrorists in the neighboring country under ‘Operation Sindoor’. He said, “If terrorists repeat such acts, we will give an even stronger response. Operation Sindoor has stopped, not ended.”
The Defense Minister accused the Congress of trying to politicize the armed forces. He said, “NDA never discriminates on the basis of caste, religion or creed. The promises we have made in our manifesto will be fulfilled. Only NDA can do the work of making Bihar a developed state.”
