Jaipur. Preparations are being finalized for the divine and grand event of Vande Mataram@150 program to commemorate the completion of 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram”. A state level program will be organized at SMS Stadium on Friday, 7th November. On Wednesday, Principal Secretary of Tourism Department, Rajesh Kumar Yadav took stock of the preparations for the event at SMS Stadium. During this, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, he directed to imbue the program with the spirit of patriotism and ensure maximum participation of local artists and common people. In this, instructions have also been given to the concerned departmental officers to ensure participation of all government, non-government, educational institutions, universities, colleges, technical medical colleges, NCC, NSS squad guides. During this, he gave instructions to make arrangements for a total of five bands including RAC, Police and School to make the program grand. He instructed the police to make adequate security arrangements for the program. He has instructed the officials of the Information and Public Relations Department to do wide publicity of the program including exhibition and hoardings at the venue. He has given instructions to RTO to arrange buses to transport school, college and university students. During this, he also gave instructions to the concerned departmental officers to give grandeur to the program by arranging stage, seating arrangement, decoration of doors etc.
During this, Government Secretary Youth Affairs Sports Department Dr. Neeraj K Pawan, District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jaipur Heritage Nidhi Patel, Chief Executive District Council Jaipur Pratibha Verma and related departmental officers of police administration were present.
It is noteworthy that to commemorate the completion of 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, special programs will be organized across the state as well as at the district, block and gram panchayat level from November 7, 2025. State level main program will be held on 7th November at SMS, Jaipur. Will be held in the stadium. There will be participation in the program from all government and non-government educational institutions, universities, colleges, technical colleges, medical and paramedical colleges, engineering colleges, NCC, NSS, Hindustan Scout Guides, police and RAC personnel, social organizations and general public.
On this occasion, cultural programs like grand ‘Vande Mataram’ singing, distribution of 50 thousand tricolor flags, school, police and army band presentations and exhibition of great men will be organised. A historic event of singing ‘Vande Mataram’ along with the collective national anthem will be organized in an atmosphere of patriotism by students, public representatives, NCC cadets, teachers and common citizens. The 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’ will be celebrated in a historic manner through thematic exhibitions, photographs, archival material, digital panels and art exhibitions across the state. On the same day, programs will be organized at the district level in the district headquarters of Ajmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Jodhpur, Sikar, Bhilwara and Alwar.
In this series of programs, programs will be organized in the remaining 31 districts on 8th and 9th November. Public promotion of ‘Vande Mataram’ will be done through Prabhat Pheri, run or bike rally in the presence of the Minister in-charge in the districts. Tribute programs at martyr memorials, group singing of the national anthem in schools, essay writing, painting, rangoli etc. competitions, cleanliness campaigns and blood donation camps by NSS, honoring of freedom fighters and their families and theme based cultural presentations will be organised. “Vande Mataram@150” exhibitions will be put up on LED screens, hoardings, and advertising spaces.
Through these, the historical background of ‘Vande Mataram’, its role in the freedom struggle and the message of national unity will be presented. Besides, a social media campaign will also be run with #vandemataram hashtag to connect people with this campaign. Along with the main events at the state and district level, programs will also be organized at the block and gram panchayat level. This great campaign of patriotism will be given the form of a mass movement with the participation of schools, colleges, Panchayat representatives and social organizations at every block headquarters.
Mass singing programs will be organized on the theme of “One Place, One Time, One Song – Vande Mataram”, in which wide participation of citizens, students and local organizations will be ensured. Besides, the message of Swadeshi and national unity will be spread to every village through run, rally and collective service work. ‘Vande Mataram @ 150’ program and Swadeshi resolution will be organized in all government offices on 10th November. Similarly, ‘Vande Mataram @ 150’ program and Swadeshi resolution will be organized on 11th November in municipal offices, on 12th November in Panchayat Raj institutions, on 13th November in all schools and hostels, on 14th November in higher education institutions and on 15th November in hospitals and police stations. Apart from this, there will be mass reading of ‘Vande Mataram’ in all the schools and colleges from 7th November to 26th November (Constitution Day).
