Pargana. The war of words between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the BJP over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in West Bengal has intensified. BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of practicing politics of violence. Speaking to reporters, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said, “During elections in Bengal, many polling agents are attacked. Even presiding officers are attacked. Still, elections are held and the government is formed. The ruling party here practices the politics of violence, which has become the political culture of this state.” He said that there are some people in West Bengal who take contracts to win elections. SIR election process has started, that is why people’s troubles have increased, but nothing is going to happen from this. SIR will remain in force in Bengal. With the implementation of SIR, outsiders will not be able to vote, which is going to increase the problems of the ruling Trinamool Congress.
Dilip Ghosh said that in the coming time, SIR will be completed peacefully and after that elections will also be held. No one’s noise and protest is going to make any difference to SIR.
On the violence in Bengal, the BJP leader said that the violence will not stop until Mamata Banerjee’s government goes here. The day is not far when BJP government is going to be formed and action will be taken against the criminals.
Regarding the attack on the convoy of Union Minister of State for Education and former BJP state president Sukant Majumdar, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said that this is nothing new. Every day some politician or the other is attacked.
Let us inform that Sukant Majumdar’s convoy was allegedly attacked by Trinamool Congress workers in Nabadwip of Nadia district on Wednesday night.
