After a long time, such a period has come in the politics of Uttar Pradesh when street marches are not just political demonstrations but are emerging as the hope of the people. Aam Aadmi Party has announced a historic 180 kilometer march from Saryu to Sangam from November 12 to November 24. Its name is “Do Jobs, Do Social Justice”, and it will be led by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh. The same Sanjay Singh who has stood as the voice of the people of Uttar Pradesh on every platform from Parliament to the streets.

This padayatra will be inspired not just by tired feet, but by the pain, anger and hopes of the people. Youth struggling with unemployment, farmers worried about not getting the dues of their crops, people associated with cottage and small scale industries, teachers, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers – everyone is demanding answers from the government today. But when the government becomes silent, the voice of the public comes to the streets. This is the real power of Padayatra.

Sanjay Singh has clearly said that this padyatra is not a political ritual, but a fight for the rights of the people. The BJP government had made big promises regarding employment, but today Uttar Pradesh has become the capital of the unemployed. Government recruitments are stalled, examinations are postponed and paper leaks have snatched away the future of millions of youth. Farmers are struggling to get fair prices for their produce, payments to sugarcane farmers are pending for months, and small industries have closed, leaving workers without food. The government has thousands of crores of rupees for advertising, but no answer for employment and farmers.

To break this silence, Aam Aadmi Party is taking to the streets. This 180 kilometer long padyatra will start from Saryu river in Ayodhya and end at Sangam in Prayagraj. On the way, there will be interaction with the public in villages, towns, cities and localities. People will express their desire for employment, justice and a secure future. Youth, farmers, teachers, social workers and people of every section will participate in this march. This movement will not be based on the mercy of power, but on public participation.

The theme song of this padyatra, “Main Desh Bachaunga” is already making waves. The voice of famous singer Altamash Faridi and the lyrics written by Bilal Bhai give it an emotional identity. This song is not just music, but a message that touches the hearts of youth, laborers and farmers.

Sanjay Singh’s image is that of a leader who cannot be bought, intimidated or silenced. He exposed scams in Parliament, raised his voice against paper leaks, fought for farmers and repeatedly held the government accountable. Therefore, this march is not just a political challenge to the BJP government, but a public charge sheet addressing the issues of the people.

This march from Saryu to Sangam will remind Uttar Pradesh that power belongs to the people, not the government. When the government fails to respond, the streets become a forum for justice. And this time, the public is not silent; She is marching together. This is the beginning, and the beginning is always from the streets.
