Both domestic sales and exports of Tata Motors have increased and last month the company’s electric vehicle sales also reached a record level.
Tata Motors has reported a strong sales growth of 22 percent in November 2025. The company sold a total of 57,436 units in the passenger vehicle segment in the domestic market, which also includes electric vehicles. This is a big increase compared to 47,063 units in November last year. Total (domestic + export) sales of electric vehicles have also seen a sharp growth of 52 percent.
The company has sold 7,911 electric cars, whereas in November 2024 this figure was 5,202 units. There was a record increase of 3164.8 percent in exports, as this time 1,763 units were exported, whereas only 54 units were exported in the same period last year.
The company’s total sales, including domestic and international markets, stood at 59,199 units, which is a year-on-year increase of 25.6 percent. With this performance, Tata Motors left its nearest rival Mahindra & Mahindra behind by a small margin. However, it remained at third position in the domestic PV market behind Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai, while Mahindra stood at fourth position. Tata Motors maintained its top position in the EV segment, beating brands like Mahindra, Hyundai and MG Motor.
For some time now, Tata Motors has been introducing many new models in the domestic market. Recently the company has relaunched the popular Sierra name after two decades. Tata Sierra has been launched at a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is the company’s sixth SUV after Punch, Nexon, Harrier, Safari and Curve.
The Tata Sierra gets a triple-screen setup, which includes a driver digital display, a center touchscreen and a separate infotainment screen for the front passenger. It has premium features like Dolby Atmos support, 12 JBL Black speaker setup and OTT streaming. Apart from this, a huge boot space of 622 liters is also available. Built on the new ARGOS architecture, this SUV is available with advanced features like 3 terrain modes, 360° HD camera, 22 ADAS features, 5G connectivity, AR-based HUD and OTA updates.
Talking about engine options, Sierra has two petrol and one diesel engines. These include 1.5-litre turbocharged TGDi petrol engine (158 bhp/255 Nm), 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated Revotron petrol engine (104.5 bhp/145 Nm) and 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine (116 bhp/260 Nm).
