The flex fuel versions of the Hero Splendor+ and HF Deluxe can run on petrol ranging from E20 (20% ethanol blend) to E85 (85% ethanol blend)
Hero MotoCorp has launched its two most popular motorcycles in the Indian market, Splendor+ and HF Deluxe with Flex Fuel. Their ex-showroom prices have been kept at Rs 82,810 and Rs 72,792 respectively. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were also present at the launch event held in New Delhi.
Splendor+ Flex Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel have been developed to run on any ethanol blended petrol ranging from E20 to E85. At present, E20 petrol is being sold as standard fuel in India. Let us tell you that HF Deluxe E85 was also showcased earlier at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The prices of the new flex fuel bikes are about 4 percent higher than their regular models. Both the motorcycles have been developed at the company’s Jaipur-based Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT). Their sales will start in select areas of Delhi and Maharashtra from July 2026, after which they will be launched across the country.
Both the bikes have a 97.2cc engine, which produces 8.5 bhp power and 8.3 Nm torque. For flex fuel technology, it has been provided with a new fuel pump, secondary fuel filter and updated ECU mapping. Apart from the mechanical changes, these bikes also get new black and lime yellow dual-tone graphics, side stand engine cut-off, tubeless tires and a new digi-analog instrument cluster. According to the company, due to these updates, power has increased by 7 percent and torque by 3 percent.
Speaking at the launch, Nitin Gadkari said, “India is rapidly adopting alternative fuels and clean mobility technologies. He believes the introduction of flex fuel motorcycles in the mass-market segment is an important step towards reducing crude oil imports, promoting ethanol use, empowering farmers and strengthening the goal of a self-reliant India.”
