In the Vice Presidential election, 452 votes in favor of CP Radhakrishnan while his rival B.K. Sudarshan Reddy received 300 votes. In this election, the talk of cross voting by opposition MPs in favor of NDA is also coming out. However, on the basis of number force, CP Radhakrishnan’s victory was already considered to be almost sure. At the same time, the Congress is trying to find out the MPs who vote. Significantly, on July 21, on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament, Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned as Vice President.
Although Dhankar had cited health reasons behind resignation, the opposition was constantly seeking clarification from the government on their resignation. After resigning, Dhankhar made distance from public life nor did he meet anyone nor issued any statement. Recently, the Dhankar Vice President has been vacated and shifted to a farm house in Chhatarpur, Delhi, which is of INLD leader Abhay Chautala. Jagdeep Dhankhar has appeared in public for the first time today after resigning.
