Patna, 4 December (IANS). Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two-day visit to India is considered very important. Bihar government ministers believe that this visit will further strengthen India-Russia relations. Along with this, the ministers expressed hope of agreeing on many big deals between the two countries.
Speaking to IANS, state government minister and Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal said that the relationship between India and Russia is very old. We hope that this relationship will be further strengthened by the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India.
Bihar government minister Santosh Kumar Suman said, “India and Russia have always had good relations. Vladimir Putin’s visit will definitely lead to a big deal and increase economic activities. India will only benefit from his visit. In the times to come, it will prove helpful in building a new India.”
Minister Ashok Chaudhary said, “It is a good thing that the Russian President is visiting India. We have long-standing relations with Russia and trade deals are ongoing. We believe that we should further strengthen India’s relations with them and increase our trade deals in the region. We need to further strengthen our economy.”
Meanwhile, Minister Ashok Chaudhary also responded to the claims of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, in which the Congress MP claimed that he is not allowed to meet foreign delegations. Ashok Chaudhary said, “If someone wants to meet a foreign guest, who can stop him? Now, if someone does not want to meet him, what can be done?”
Meanwhile, JDU leader KC Tyagi said, “Russia has been India’s most trusted traditional friend. They helped us in the 1971 war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh. I welcome President Putin’s visit.”
