Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday criticized Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, saying it was not appropriate to make fun of anyone doing “Vipassana” despite political differences between the two over how to tackle the pollution crisis in the national capital region.

Kejriwal wrote on the

The AAP leader’s comments come a day after Chief Minister Gupta alleged that while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are trying to fight pollution by staying in Delhi, Kejriwal leaves Delhi completely by doing Vipassana every six months.

The Delhi Chief Minister said, “We are finding a solution to the problem of pollution by staying in Delhi itself. We are not like those people who leave Delhi to its own devices and go for Vipassana every six months. My Delhi, my responsibility – we are working with this feeling. The problem is here, and its solution will also come from here… for Delhi, by staying in Delhi.”

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj also targeted the Delhi government for the diseases people are facing due to increasing pollution. He criticized Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over the deteriorating air quality in the national capital, saying that she is not aware of the Air Quality Index (AQI) and its parameters, and she should leave the task of dealing with the pollution problem to experts.

Speaking to ANI, Bhardwaj said, “This government has been in power for almost a year. There has been no incident of stubble burning anywhere in the country. The pollution situation is such that there is fog even in a closed room. The Chief Minister of Delhi does not know the meaning of AQI? She says that AQI can be measured with any instrument. She does not even know the correct pronunciation of AQI. What will the people of Delhi expect from the Chief Minister for the next four years?”.

He further said, “I think experts should come forward and the Chief Minister should step back.”Delhi residents on Sunday expressed deep concern over the deteriorating air quality as the city’s AQI rose to 497, which remains in the ‘severe’ category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). In view of the severe pollution, the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education on Saturday directed that classes 9 and 11 be conducted in hybrid mode. Be done. The decision was taken after the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) implemented the fourth phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) as the air quality index (AQI) levels approached ‘severe’ levels.
