New Delhi, December 13 (IANS). The government has issued a circular for the pilgrims who wish to go for Haj in the year 2026. Regarding this, Union Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju requested the people to apply as soon as possible.
The circular said that all interested pilgrims are informed that as per the timeline issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the last date for finalizing the accommodation and service contracts for Hajj-2026 is 1 February 2026.
These mandatory contractual arrangements are necessary to ensure accommodation, transportation and other logistical services for pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
People are told that keeping in mind the time limit and various preparation requirements to be fulfilled by Haj group organizers and private tour operators, all prospective pilgrims intending to perform Haj are advised to secure their bookings well in advance.
The circular stated that it is necessary to complete the bookings on time so that the procedural compliances including finalization of accommodation and transportation contracts can be completed within the timeline set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj-2026.
All pilgrims have been advised to avoid last minute inconveniences by finalizing necessary accommodation and service contracts within the stipulated time-frame and complete all mandatory procedures in time. For this, it is necessary to complete your booking formalities on or before 15th January.
Along with this, it is also said that they should confirm the registration status, quota and approval of the concerned Haj Group Organizer / Private Tour Operators before booking and book only through the authorized Haj Group Organizer.
Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, while sharing this circular on the social media platform X, wrote that for the convenience of Indian private Haj pilgrims, I request everyone to apply early and choose only the authorized Haj Group Organizer.
He said that this will help in avoiding last minute hassles by making timely booking by January 15, 2026 and will ensure smooth and well-organized arrangements for this holy pilgrimage.
