There is an atmosphere of happiness in the area along with his family due to the selection of Para cricketer Vikram Nag, a resident of Dhaurahra tehsil and town of the district, as the vice-captain in the International Para T20 Cricket Series to be held at Sky Sports Club Ground Colombo, Sri Lanka from 13th November. Regarding this, Vikram’s family members said that Vikram Nag has once again proved that no matter how difficult the circumstances are, one should not give up on them. Vikram Nam is the captain of UP team since 2016, he got a chance to play his first international match in 2018 and the Indian team was the winner there, the team was to go to Pakistan but due to Pulwama being stuck, the match was considered to be played with Pakistan, in 2021 also got a chance to play in Bangladesh, where it won. Vikram Nag has been selected for the three-match T20 series in Sri Lanka, where he has been made the vice captain of the team. The Indian team will leave for Sri Lanka from Chennai Airport on 12th November.
Where the first T20 match will be played in Colombo. Regarding this, cricketer Vikram Nag said that a series of three T20 matches will be played in Sri Lanka from November 13 to November 17. In this series, their focus will be to win every match and increase the prestige of the country including the state as well as the district. Cricketer Vikram Nag is a resident of Dhaurhara town and tehsil of Kheri district, his father used to work as a watchman in the late Awadharam police station. Due to which the family was brought up with struggles.
Amidst this, Vikram Nag, spreading his talent, kept moving ahead with cricket as his goal. Cricket trials were organized by the Indian Cricket Federation for Disabled in 2010, after being selected, Vikram never looked back. Gradually Vikram became the captain of Uttar Pradesh disabled cricket team. Before this series, Vikram Nag had become the vice-captain of the Indian team in the tournament held in Bangladesh in 2018-19.
While performing well, he managed to win the series 2-1, along with this, after performing well in Ranji in 2019, he was selected in the triangular series of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan in 2020, but this series was canceled due to Covid, not only this, Vikram has won a gold medal at the international level and 3 silver medals by performing well at the national level, while bringing glory to the state and the country with the district Lakhimpurkhiri.
