Lucknow News: With the aim of promoting sportsmanship, physical health and discipline among students, the annual sports ceremony of Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow campus ‘Sangathan-2025’ has started with Vedic chant on Monday. Various sports like cricket, football, kabaddi, tennis, volleyball will be organized in this ceremony.
Inauguration of sports ceremony
The founder president of Amity Group is organized every year to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Ashok’s Chauhan. The sports ceremony was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Anil Vasistha by handing the game torch to the players. This torch passed through various departments and finally Dr. Vashistha has ignited the sports light of the organization-2025. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Anil Vashistha said that the purpose of organization competitions is to develop determination, discipline and fair sports spirit in students.
Amity symbol of excellence
Appreciating the leadership of Dr. Ashok Chauhan, he further said that he has made Amity a symbol of excellence. He greeted all the players and inspired them to understand the importance of physical fitness and community spirit. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor Professor Anil Vashistha, Deputy Pratipatia Retired Wing Commander Dr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, Dean Research Professor Dr. Qamar Rahman, Dean Academic Dr. Rajesh Tiwari and Dean Students Welfare Dr. Rajeev Verma and the Department of Departments of all departments.
