Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata
Currently, the price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata is Rs 122,990 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 134,170 per 10 grams.
Prices in Pune and Bengaluru
In both these cities, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 134,170 per 10 grams and the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 122,990 per 10 grams.
Goldman Sachs has estimated that gold will reach $4,900 an ounce by December next year. He has said that many central banks around the world will continue to buy gold next year also.

Silver prices also fell on December 22. The price has fallen to Rs 213,900 per kg. The spot price of silver in foreign markets is $65.85 per ounce. Silver has become costlier by Rs 16,000 in a week. So far this year, silver prices have increased by 126 percent.
