Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch many new cars in different budgets and segments in the next few years.
Maruti Suzuki is paying more attention to electric and new technology in the small car segment. Now it does not just want to make minor changes in the old models, but is preparing to bring completely new and affordable cars. Hybrid technology, alternative fuel and electric options can be found in these cars. According to the information, Maruti Suzuki is working on many new models in the hatchback, compact SUV and MPV segments.
The most talked about among these is a compact electric car, which will be inspired by the eWX concept. This small EV will be designed with everyday use in mind, with a boxy design to maximize cabin space while keeping the size city-friendly. As an entry-level EV, it could become Maruti Suzuki’s most affordable electric car so far.
Along with this, the company is also working on a new micro SUV, which will enter the rapidly growing sub-compact segment. It will be prepared to compete with models like Tata Punch and Hyundai Exeter. Rugged styling can be seen in this 5-seater SUV, while hybrid technology can be used to keep the price under control, which will also improve the mileage.

Maruti Suzuki is working on a new compact MPV, which will be positioned below the Ertiga. Talking about the hatchback segment, work is also going on on the next generation Baleno, which may be launched around 2027. The new Baleno is expected to get changed exterior, more premium interior and stronger hybrid system, which may be based on Maruti’s Z-series petrol engine.
The update to the front fenders also won’t be just a minor facelift. According to reports, major changes can be made in it at mechanical and feature level, which will be in line with international models. For the first time in India, advanced features like ADAS can be provided in it and in future, more powerful in-house hybrid technology can also be available in place of mild hybrid.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki is preparing an all-new entry-level car for first-time car buyers. It will be economical and capable of giving high mileage, in which options like CNG, flex-fuel and hybrid petrol are likely to be available. The company’s first electric SUV e Vitara is set to be launched next month, followed by a midsize electric MPV based on the Heartect-e platform in late 2026 or early 2027, which is expected to have a range of more than 500 km.
