Pushkar Singh Dhami: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday at the I.R.D. located at Survey Chowk. Participated in state level mass awareness orientation program at T Auditorium. On this occasion, the Chief Minister transferred the pension for the month of May 2026 under various schemes to the accounts of the beneficiaries through one click. A total amount of Rs 176 crore 59 lakh 24 thousand was transferred to the accounts of 09 lakh 74 thousand 338 beneficiaries. On this occasion, he also administered the oath of drug free campaign and respect and care towards senior citizens. Addressing the state level mass awareness workshop, the Chief Minister said that this workshop will play an important role in taking social welfare schemes to the last person in the society. He said that the aim of the government is to provide the benefits of the schemes to every eligible person without any discrimination, delay and hindrance.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been a massive expansion of public welfare schemes in the country with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Crores of people have benefited from schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Free Ration Scheme. At the same time, through Stand-up India, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, PM Swanidhi, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and National Livelihood Mission, deprived sections have got opportunities for self-employment and economic empowerment.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to strengthen social justice. Antyodaya families are being provided three gas cylinders free of cost every year. Vehicle allowance of disabled personnel has been increased. Women are being made financially self-reliant by linking self-help groups with ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’ and skill development programs. Work is being done to take development to the last person through ‘Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme’, ‘Chief Minister Migration Prevention Scheme’, ‘Vibrant Village Programme’ and ‘Apni Sarkar Portal’.
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, unprecedented work has been done in the fields of roads, education, health, rail and air connectivity in the state. Successful organization of National Games and G-20 meetings has given global recognition to Uttarakhand, while the investment proposals of Global Investors Summit are coming on the ground. Along with promoting winter tourism in the state, work is being done at a rapid pace on Kedarkhand and Manaskhand Temple Mala Mission. Work is also in progress on Sharda Corridor, Rishikesh-Haridwar Corridor, Yamuna Corridor, Vivekananda Corridor and Golju Corridor.
The Chief Minister said that the state’s economy has grown one and a half times in the last four years and an increase of 7.23 percent has been recorded in the state’s GSDP in the last one year. Per capita income has increased by 41 percent in the last four years. The state’s unemployment rate has dropped to a record 4.4 percent, which is better than the national average. The state budget size has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore. Two to three times growth has been recorded in the fields of home-stay, industry, startup, heliport and power generation. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand has got the first position in the country in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) index of NITI Aayog. Uttarakhand has been ranked second among the special category states in the Public Financial Performance Index of the Government of India. The state has received the ‘Achievers’ category in Ease of Doing Business and ‘Leaders’ category in Startup Ranking.
The Chief Minister said that strict anti-conversion laws, anti-riot laws and strict land laws have been implemented in the state. More than 11 thousand acres of government land has been freed from encroachment by the government. After the implementation of anti-copying law, in the last four and a half years, more than 33 thousand youth have been provided government jobs in a transparent manner.
Emphasizing on the four-point strategy for effective implementation of the schemes, the Chief Minister said that it is necessary to ensure wide publicity of the schemes, simplification of government processes, maximum use of technology and regular monitoring and accountability. He called upon the members of commissions, councils and committees to regularly visit the districts and remote areas and monitor the implementation of the schemes at the ground level.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Khajan Das, Bharat Chaudhary, MLA Savita Kapoor, Parvati Das, Bhupal Ram Tamta, Secretary Shridhar Babu Addanki, Additional Secretary Prakash Chandra, Chairman and Vice Chairman of various commissions, councils and committees were present.
