New Delhi/Patna, December 26 (IANS). Former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi has started vacating her residence at 10 Circular Road in Patna. Meanwhile, Congress leaders have attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his government. Congress leaders alleged that Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi were being harassed due to political hatred.
Purnia MP and Congress leader Pappu Yadav, while talking to IANS, said that due to political competition, this behavior of the two big leaders is not right.
He said, “We do not understand why personal enmity is played out in politics. Both are former Chief Ministers and that house is necessary from the security point of view. Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi have lived in that house for a long time. No mountain will break from one house. I did not expect this from Nitish Kumar and neither do I.”
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party government always does politics of hatred and animosity against opposition, due to which it indulges in such acts. If they had a house and could continue to live in a house, then what was the problem in that? But the way BJP is harassing that elderly couple (Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi) by citing rules.
He alleged that Lalu Yadav is troubled within himself. He is in a very ill condition and has just undergone an operation. This is a conspiracy to harass them. Surendra Rajput said that it is the policy of BJP to view the opposition with hostility. With this policy they want to weaken democracy and the Constitution.
Let us tell you that on November 25, the Building Construction Department of Bihar Government had issued a notice to Rabri Devi asking her to vacate the bungalow at 10 Circular Road. At present, Rabri Devi has started vacating the bungalow. Even late Thursday night, a pickup van was seen carrying plants and household items from the residence.
