Big news has come for lakhs of students who dream of studying in IIT. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has released the complete schedule of Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2026, i.e. JEE Advanced 2026. This examination is the path for admission to B.Tech and other undergraduate engineering courses in all IITs across the country. This information is very important for those students who have been preparing for this exam for a long time.
According to the information released by IIT Roorkee, JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The examination will be computer based, and there will be two papers on the same day. All information related to the exam is available on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. When will the registration start?
The application process for JEE Advanced 2026 will start in April 2026. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2026 will be able to register online from 10:00 am on April 23, 2026 to 11:59 pm on May 2, 2026. For foreign nationals, OCI and PIO candidates, the application process will run from April 6, 2026 to May 2, 2026. Payment of examination fee is also mandatory along with the application. The last date for fee payment is May 4, 2026 at 11:59 pm. If the fee is not deposited on time, the application will not be considered valid.
When will I get the admit card?
JEE Advanced 2026 admit card can be downloaded from 10:00 am on May 11, 2026. Candidates can download their admit card till 2:30 pm on May 17, 2026. Without the admit card, entry into the examination center will not be allowed, hence students are advised to download it in advance and keep the printout safe.
How will the exam be conducted?
JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in two papers on the same day. Paper 1 will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
It is necessary to appear in both the papers for this examination. If a candidate appears only for one paper, it will not be included in the ranking. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages.
Who can appear for JEE Advanced 2026?
Only those candidates who secure the top 2.5 lakh rank in JEE Main 2026 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2026. JEE Main 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two sessions. The first session will be from January 21 to January 30, 2026, and the second session will be from April 1 to April 10, 2026. The list of eligible candidates for JEE Advanced will be prepared on the basis of performance in both the sessions.
