Bhopal, January 2 (IANS). Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will be on a two-day visit to Bhopal from Friday. During his visit, he will participate in programs to be held at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center and Rabindra Bhawan.
Mohan Bhagwat will address a gathering of social and religious leaders, youth and women in separate sessions in Bhopal on January 2 and 3.
The Sangh chief will hold ‘Yuva Samvad’ and ‘Pramukhjan Gosthi’ on Friday. After this, there will be ‘Social Harmony Meeting’ and ‘Shakti Samvad’ on Saturday.
According to a senior RSS functionary in Bhopal, youth from all 31 districts of the ‘province’ (16 districts as per the administrative structure), who have made special contributions and made a mark in different fields, will participate in this program.
The official said that there will be a conversation with well-known citizens in an auditorium of Ravindra Bhawan, in which well-known personalities from different areas of Bhopal division have been invited.
Mohan Bhagwat will also address the ‘Social Harmony Meeting’ to be held at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center on Saturday, which will be attended by prominent members of different communities.
According to a recent statement issued by the RSS office, this will be Bhagwat’s 5th visit to Madhya Pradesh in the last 10 months. The special thing is that on Wednesday, Bhagwat had urged the citizens to rise above the discrimination of caste, wealth and language and consider everyone as their own.
These comments of the RSS chief assume significance as anger is rising over the killing of Angel Chakma, a student from Tripura, following alleged racial abuse in Dehradun. Reiterating the need for social unity and equality, Bhagwat said the entire country belongs to everyone and harmony is a core part of India’s identity.
