Preparations are going on in full swing before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Somnath Temple. ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ is being celebrated on the 1000th anniversary of the first attack on the Somnath temple, an intact heritage of eternal culture and spiritual pride. Prime Minister Modi will participate in the program on January 11. Security arrangements have been made in Somnath ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Somnath SP Jaideep Singh Jadeja said that during PM Modi’s visit, arrangements have been made for security at all three levels – water, land and air. More than two thousand policemen will be deployed. There will be more than 20 IPS rank officers. Inspector, SI and Deputy rank officers have been put on duty. The police officer said that under ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’, Prime Minister Modi will come to Somnath on Saturday evening. During his visit he will participate in several programs including a meeting at the Somnath Temple Trust office and then a visit to the temple.
SP Jaideep Singh Jadeja said that on January 10, Prime Minister Modi will be a part of ‘Omkar’ chanting. On the second day, on January 11, in the morning, Prime Minister Modi will offer prayers at Somnath temple. He will also participate in the procession and then address a grand gathering.
Somnath has become completely ‘Shivmay’ due to the sounds, tunes and music of Shiva puja. Chanting of ‘Omkar’ continues for 72 hours continuously with conch shells and Vedic mantras. Major places including the main roads of Somnath are being decorated. There is enthusiasm among the devotees after seeing the devotional atmosphere of Somnath temple.
Gaurav Kumar, a resident of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, after visiting the Somnath temple, said that ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ is being celebrated here from January 8 to January 11. A grand view has been seen during this period. A devotee from West Bengal said that the Somnath temple had a good darshan and there was a joyful atmosphere here.
Archana Singh of Hapur, who came to visit Somnath temple for the first time, said that after reaching here we came to know that Prime Minister Modi will arrive on January 11. In such a situation, preparations are going on for a grand event here, which is quite spectacular. He praised the arrangements and security management of Somnath temple.
