Lucknow/Prayagraj, Amrit Vichar: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while reviewing the preparations for Magh Mela during his visit to Prayagraj on Saturday, expressed confidence that all the major bathing festivals will be completed safely with purity, communication and coordination. Talking to journalists, the Chief Minister said that the facilities and safety of the devotees are being ensured due to the vigilance of the administration, effective use of technology and mutual cooperation of all the departments.
The Chief Minister said that this year Magh Mela will start from January 3 and continue till February 15. In view of such a long event, the government and administration are continuously monitoring all the arrangements.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that while 10 to 15 lakh devotees were expected to come on Paush Purnima, more than 31 lakh devotees took bath in the holy Triveni. The Kalpavasi are engrossed in penance for the one month Kalpavas, whose facilities are being taken special care of.
Extensive arrangements for the upcoming bathing festivals
According to Chief Minister Yogi, the major baths of Makar Sankranti will be held on 14-15 January, Mauni Amavasya on 18 January, Vasant Panchami, Magh Purnima on 23 January and Mahashivratri on 15 February. Extensive preparations have been made to conduct all these festivals in a safe and well-organized manner. This year the length of the ghats has been increased, so that devotees can get more space. Special emphasis has been laid on cleanliness and bonfires, night shelters and health facilities have been made available to protect against cold wave.

The Chief Minister said that the public address system has been effectively implemented for crowd management. Along with this, ‘Mela Seva App’ has been launched, which is becoming a medium to provide quick assistance to saints, Kalpavasis and devotees.
