New Delhi, January 14 (IANS). About 52 percent of technology and banking sector employees in India and America have said that their companies are planning to recruit more people in India in the year 2026.

A report by ‘Blind’, a community app for professionals, released on Wednesday said that 34 per cent people expect a big increase in recruitment in India, while 18 per cent people believe that there will be a moderate increase in recruitment.

2,392 verified professionals from America and India participated in this survey. The report says that this indicates that big global tech companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber and eBay are now handing over more work to India.

When people were asked how increased hiring in India would impact US jobs, 38 per cent said it was replacing some US-based positions, while 23 per cent said it was supplementing US hiring.

It was reported in the report that 28 percent people said that due to the strict H-1B visa rules of America, companies are hiring more people in India, while 25 percent people believe that these rules have not made any significant difference.

At the same time, about 4 percent people said that due to visa rules, recruitment has increased only in America based companies.

The report says that India is now becoming a strong alternative to America. Many companies are now increasing their team in India instead of expanding in America. Due to this, a big change is being seen in the planning of employees at the global level.

Up to 93 percent of employees of companies like eBay, Wayfair, LinkedIn, Qualcomm, Capital One, Google, Amazon, Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft said that their companies are planning to increase recruitment in India.

Talking about the ways of expansion in India, 25 percent people said that their companies are expanding the already existing Indian team. At the same time, about 20 percent people said that recruitment is being done on new posts in India, while 20 percent people said that some special works and projects are being transferred to India.
