Gandhinagar. NSIT-Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security (IFSCS), successfully conducted an enriching and informative industrial visit to the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS), Gujarat State, Gandhinagar. The objective of this visit was to provide the students with real-world experience of the practical applications of forensic science and professional practices. A large group of enthusiastic students visited the prestigious DFS campus located at Police Bhawan Road, Sector-18, Gandhinagar under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Harjeet Singh and Miss Khushboo Gautam. The objective of this industrial visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical implementation in the field of forensic science and digital investigation. During the visit, the students were introduced to various forensic divisions including Crime Scene Management, Fingerprint Analysis, Questioned Document Examination, Cyber and Digital Forensics, Forensic Biology and Chemistry. DFS experts shared important information on modern forensic equipment, investigative methods, case handling procedures and the important role of forensic science in the criminal justice system.
Students actively interacted with experts and gained a clear understanding of career opportunities, research prospects and emerging technologies in forensic and cyber areas. This industrial visit proved to be an educational experience providing new knowledge and exposure to the students, which helped them understand how forensic evidence is scientifically analyzed and presented in legal proceedings.
The management and faculty members of NSIT-IFSCS expressed their gratitude to the Directorate of Forensic Science, Gujarat State for their cooperation and guidance. Such initiatives reflect NSIT-IFSCS’s commitment towards experiential learning, industry exposure and skill development among students.
