Patna, January 23 (). Bihar Government Minister Dilip Jaiswal on Friday, on the eve of the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister of the state and ‘Bharat Ratna’ Jannayak Karpoori Thakur, participated in a seminar organized under the joint aegis of Social Justice Sangharsh Morcha and National Barber Mahasabha on the role of NDA in the development of the most backward society.
Minister Dilip Jaiswal, while addressing the program, said that Karpoori Thakur is always remembered for his simplicity, principles and public service. His life was completely dedicated to social justice and upliftment of the deprived. The contribution he made in building a harmonious and inclusive society still inspires us. Karpoori Thakur had very high thinking, he was a leader who lived a very simple life. The chapter of simplicity of his life is such that everyone gets impressed after reading it. He was Chief Minister twice and Deputy Chief Minister once, but at the time of his death he did not even own a house or have any balance in the bank. This is a big lesson for today’s leaders. Today, most of us live first for our family and ourselves, whereas Karpoori Thakur always tried to connect the people standing in the last row of the society with the mainstream.
Minister Dilip Jaiswal said that this thinking and level of honesty of Karpoori Thakur is relevant even today. He never misused power for his family. He made politics a medium of service, not a fruit. Talking about giving reservation to backward classes, its foundation was also laid by Karpoori Thakur.
While wishing Basant Panchami, Minister Dilip Jaiswal said that on this auspicious occasion, this auspicious festival of worship of Goddess Saraswati, the presiding deity of knowledge, wisdom and values, should bring the light of knowledge, wisdom and inspiration for good deeds in everyone’s life. The NDA government is continuously working with dedication for the empowerment of education, dissemination of knowledge and promotion of values. It is a prayer to Mother Saraswati to enlighten all the students, teachers and society with knowledge and wisdom.
