New Delhi, January 25 (IANS). Many times, even after eating food, one feels weak in the body, gets tired very quickly and the body also starts aching. These are signs that the body is not strong from inside and the hormones are unbalanced.
The food prepared in Indian thali contains fiber but lacks protein. Protein is very important to strengthen the body. In such a situation, apart from pulses, black gram available in the kitchen is rich in protein. Its regular consumption gives countless benefits to the body.
Black gram does not give instant energy, but gives stable strength. Weakness, early fatigue, lack of recovery after workout and digestive weakness are not separate problems. These are all signs of metal-making and weakness of Agni. If black gram is consumed in the right quantity and in the right way, relief from many problems can be found. It is also easy to digest and has a low glycemic index, due to which the amount of sugar in the blood does not increase. Even diabetic patients can eat it easily.
Black gram contains iron, protein and manganese which strengthens the muscles and also increases stamina. Iron, protein and manganese are helpful in increasing the quantity as well as purity of blood. Overall, people suffering from anemia can also consume black gram.
In Ayurveda, black gram is considered to enhance meat, strength and fire. It builds density, strength and stamina in the body, not just weight. There is a belief among people about black gram that it is heavy in digestion, but this is half-baked and wrong information. If black gram is consumed properly, it helps in intensifying Agni, strengthening the intestines, and improving gut health. This is not a heavy, but balanced diet.
