Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Sunday declared Tejashwi Yadav as the new national working president of the party. This announcement was made during the RJD national executive meeting held in Patna.
RJD supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti and other senior party leaders were present in this meeting.
Following the announcement, RJD officially confirmed the appointment to X, saying, “The dawn of a new era! Tejashwi Yadav ji has been appointed the National Working President of Rashtriya Janata Dal!”
RJD spokesperson Ajaz Ahmed told ANI, “After the approval of the National President, a proposal was made to appoint Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav as the National Working President of the party. The entire committee unanimously accepted the proposal and from today, Tejashwi ji will take charge as the National Working President of the party following the guidelines of the party and the National President.”
Meanwhile, RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) chief Lalu Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya on Sunday emphasized “Laluism” as a fight for the marginalized and encouraged grassroots workers to speak out without any fear.
Taking an indirect dig at RJD’s current controller Tejashwi Yadav, he claimed that “infiltrators and conspirators” sent by fascist opponents were controlling the party.
In a post on Twitter, he expressed concern over the current state of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party, questioned those responsible for its downfall and criticized leaders for dodging questions, shirking accountability and misbehaving with speakers.
Acharya wrote on X that any true “Laluwadi” would question the current state of the party founded by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
“Such a person will undoubtedly question those responsible for the current sorry state of the party and raise his voice against such dubious and dubious roles regardless of the consequences,” he said.
