Malda, February 4 (IANS). BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has made harsh remarks about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Dilip Ghosh, who visited Malda in West Bengal, discussed the elections with the local people over tea and expressed his views regarding Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Delhi and SIR.
Dilip Ghosh told IANS that when the process of SIR is going on in West Bengal, why did the Chief Minister go to Delhi? He claimed that Mamata Banerjee has understood that if SIR is done properly, she will not be able to return to power again. For this reason she is going to Delhi and doing ‘drama’.
He told that the meeting took place in Delhi for about one and a half hour and as soon as she came out, Mamata Banerjee started making statements. Ghosh said that there is no problem of any kind with SIR, but its workers are harassing the BLOs i.e. booth level officers. They allege that the SIR process is being deliberately made complicated so that it cannot be completed on time.
The BJP leader also said that just as the Election Commission had successfully completed the SIR process in Bihar, the same would be done in West Bengal. Similar results like Bihar will be seen in West Bengal also.
On the other hand, Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav reacted to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner in Delhi. Supporting Mamata Banerjee, he said that ‘Mamata is the queen of Jhansi’ and she knows how to fight.
While, on one hand, BJP is raising questions on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the SIR process, on the other hand, voices are coming out in her support.
