Wounds of Pahalgam attack right now
Significantly, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025. It is said that the terrorists from Pakistan entered there and asked people religion and then murdered them. 26 people were killed in this attack, including Sumit Parmar of Bhavnagar and his father Yatesh Parmar. After the attack, the Government of India started ‘Operation Sindoor’. But now that India and Pakistan are coming face to face in the Asia Cup, the families of the attack are expressing displeasure over it. He says that such a match hurts the martyrs’ sacrifice and their family members.
Sawan Parmar’s tough stand on Pakistan
Sawan Parmar, whose father Yatesh and brother Pahalgam were killed in the attack, raised deep objections to the India-Pakistan match. He says that Pakistan is a terrorist thinking country and should not have any kind of relationship or game with it. Sawan was emotional and said – “If you have to play a match with Pakistan, then first give me back my 16 year old brother, who was martyred in that attack.
Kiran Parmar’s question – Why match Pakistan?
Kiran Yatish Parmar, who lost both her husband and son in the Pahalgam terror attack, has questioned the India-Pakistan match. He said that this match should not be at all. Kiran made an emotional appeal saying, “I want to ask Prime Minister Modi that when the operation vermilion is not over yet, then why is this match being played with Pakistan? The whole country should understand the pain of families who lost their loved ones in this attack. Our wounds are still refreshed and we find it very painful today.” Protests over the India-Pakistan match are also intensifying. People demonstrated at many places on Saturday. A large part of the country believes that cricket should not be played with Pakistan at such a time, as it supports terrorism.
