There is a good news for families traveling from Delhi airport. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Thursday started a special service called ‘Family @ Del’. Its purpose is to provide comfort to people traveling with children and elderly people. This facility has been launched for domestic flights at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport. In this, passengers will be helped everywhere from entering the airport to boarding the plane.

What facilities will the passengers get?
Under this initiative, separate gates have been made for families to enter the terminal so that they do not have to face crowd. There will be less need to stand in queue for check-in as special counters have been opened. A separate route i.e. priority lane will also be provided for security check. If you have a small child with you, you will get a baby stroller for free. Apart from this, ‘Family Assistants’ have been deployed at the airport who will be present to guide and help you.
Will there be any charge for this?
To avail this facility, passengers do not have to pay any separate money. There is no need to register in advance for this. This service is for all families traveling with children, elderly or those with mobility impairments. A separate seating area for families has also been created in the food court where there will also be a special menu for children. Buggy facility is also being provided to the passengers to reach the boarding gate.
