Dehradun . The Uttarakhand government has decided to make the film ‘Godaan’ based on farmer tradition, rural life and importance of cows, tax free in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions in this regard. After becoming tax free, ticket rates for the audience will come down, due to which more and more people will be able to watch the film. The film ‘Godaan’ produced and directed by Vinod Chaudhary has been released in theaters across the country on 6 February. In this film of about two hours, the religious, social and practical importance of the cow has been depicted. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that cow is not just a matter of religion and faith, but is an integral part of Indian culture, society and rural economy. Through such films, positive thinking and sensitivity is developed in the society, hence such films should be encouraged.
He said that the state government is continuously working for cow protection. Cow shelters are being encouraged in the state so that better care of destitute and destitute cattle can be ensured. Also, cattle herders and cattle herders are being benefited through various government schemes, so that their income increases and the rural economy is strengthened.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the Uttarakhand government will continue to encourage films and creative efforts made on subjects related to social, cultural and public interest in future also.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government made the film based on cow conservation tax free in the state. This decision was taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The government believes that through the film, the message of cow conservation will reach the society at large and will help in connecting the common people with the seriousness of this issue.
