New Delhi, February 11 (IANS). Diarrhea often occurs due to sudden change in eating habits. This causes problems like stomach ache, frequent diarrhea, sometimes mild fever and weakness. In such a situation, there are some easy home remedies, which give you quick relief.
The first solution is pomegranate peel powder. Pomegranate peel is very beneficial for the stomach. Dry it and make powder and mix half to one spoon of powder in honey or buttermilk and take it 3-4 times a day. It reduces stomach irritation and helps prevent diarrhea.
Another method is banana and papaya. Banana and papaya give relief to the stomach. Eating ripe banana provides relief from both stomach cramps and diarrhea and papaya cleanses the stomach and provides relief from diarrhea and constipation.
The third solution is a mixture of celery, cumin and asafoetida. These spices have excellent properties for the stomach. Mixing half a teaspoon of cumin, a little celery and a pinch of asafoetida in 1 cup of hot water or fresh buttermilk and taking it twice a day reduces stomach gas and cramps and gradually stops diarrhea.
The fourth solution is turmeric and honey. Turmeric has antibacterial properties and fights stomach infections. Eating half teaspoon turmeric mixed with 1 teaspoon honey twice a day stops diarrhea quickly and also maintains strength in the body.
The fifth and easiest solution is to drink plenty of water and buttermilk. The biggest concern in diarrhea is lack of water in the body. Therefore, drink plenty of water throughout the day. Whey or buttermilk is also very beneficial as they contain potassium and salt which keep the body hydrated. If you like, you can also drink coconut water or lemon water.
Additionally, eat less oily and junk food from outside, increase your intake of fresh vegetables and fruits and avoid very cold foods.
If despite adopting these measures, diarrhea does not improve within 2-3 days or fever increases, then it is important to consult a doctor.
