Deep breathing is an easy and natural method, by doing just 5 minutes daily, you can remain relaxed and full of energy throughout the day. Mental problems can be easily controlled by deep breathing. Adopting this habit daily improves sleep, mood remains positive and energy level increases.
Regular deep breathing keeps blood pressure balanced, reduces muscle tension and keeps both body and mind healthy. According to NHM, deep breathing is not just an act of breathing but is the easiest and most effective way to calm the mind. Deep breathing calms the mind, increases concentration and keeps the heartbeat balanced.
It reduces stress, anxiety and nervousness. Doing this 5-minute exercise as soon as you wake up in the morning protects you from stress throughout the day. This is very important and effective for mental health. Slow and deep breathing improves the supply of oxygen in the body, which keeps both body and mind healthy. The special thing is that this exercise can be done anywhere, anytime, at home, in the office, or during travel.
According to health experts, for this, while sitting, take a deep breath slowly through the nose, expand the stomach (abdominal breathing), then exhale slowly through the mouth. Count to 4 while inhaling, pause, and count to 6-8 while exhaling. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which takes the body into relaxed mode.
