New Delhi, February 14 (IANS). With the changing seasons, not only the weather changes, but it is also necessary to bring changes in the diet.

The month of Phalgun has started from 2nd February, which is going to last till March. In this season, the cold air coming from the mountains affects the immunity, due to which cold, cough and viruses spread rapidly. In such a situation, to avoid the disease, it is important to first change the diet.

The month of Phalgun is called the month of joy and happiness, where yellow mustard starts blooming everywhere and the atmosphere is also full of happiness. Ayurveda also believes that diseases trouble us first in pleasant weather because there is heat during the day and slight cold at night. With the beginning of Phalgun month, bile increases in the body and phlegm is quenched. In such a situation, the body can be strengthened from within with the help of diet.

First let us know which things are prohibited from eating in the month of Phalgun. Eating gram in this month is considered taboo because with the beginning of Holi, gram and wheat ears are roasted and eaten. Ayurveda believes that gram is heavy to digest and digestive fire is low in Phalgun. In such a situation, gram can cause constipation and gas problems. Apart from this, stale and spicy food should also be avoided as the month of Phalgun is important from spiritual point of view also. Because of Mahashivratri, this entire month is called that of Mahadev.

Now let us know what to eat. Consumption of plum and grapes in the month of Phalgun is beneficial for the body. Consuming these two keeps the stomach cool and also purifies the blood. Plums and grapes also protect the body from seasonal diseases and increase immunity. Apart from this, exercising early in the morning in this month is also said to be beneficial. By changing the diet according to nature, the body can be kept healthy without medicine. Dietary changes and changes in lifestyle only work to provide energy to the body.
