New Delhi, February 14 (IANS). India is going to organize AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This AI Impact Summit is going to be organized in the Global South for the first time. Many stalwarts of the technology world from all over the world are going to participate in this summit. Rory Daniels, Managing Director of Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), is very excited about the India AI Impact Summit.
Rory Daniels expressed his excitement in a video, which has been shared by the Indian Embassy in America. Daniels says in the video, “I am the Managing Director of the Asia Society Policy Institute. I’m very excited to be in Delhi next week for the Global AI Impact Summit, where the Policy Institute will partner with the United Nations to host an event on trust and security in the AI ecosystem. We’re especially excited to learn how India’s emerging AI guidelines and policy ecosystem can become a model for the rest of emerging economies in Asia. I’m looking forward to the summit and Looking forward to its great results.”
The Indian Embassy wrote in the caption of the video, “Countdown to AI Impact Summit in India: 02 days! India’s emerging AI guidelines and policy ecosystem can provide a model for emerging economies.”
Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs informed that India-AI Impact Summit will be organized from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Representatives from countries around the world will participate in this summit. This is the first AI summit to be held in the Global South. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this summit.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an important role in India’s development journey, strengthening governance and improving public service delivery. It supports inclusive growth on a large scale and is in line with the vision of a developed India by 2047. India’s linguistic and cultural diversity gives it a unique position to advance AI systems with multiple languages and multiple models to suit the needs of different people.
It will bring together leaders, policymakers, industry and experts from around the world to showcase and discuss the transformative potential of AI for governance, innovation and sustainable development.
Building on the outcomes of major international AI forums, the summit will focus on translating global AI discussions into concrete development outcomes with the IndiaAI Mission and Digital India Initiative. It will also strengthen multilateral cooperation and advance a people-centric AI framework.
