Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that the Congress is supporting the terrorists nurtured by Pakistan instead of supporting the country’s army.
Addressing a program at Mangaldoi in Darrang district of Assam, he accused the oldest party of patronizing the intruders and anti -national forces.
The Prime Minister insisted that the BJP would thwart his conspiracy to grab land and change demographics.
Addressing the public meeting, the Prime Minister alleged, “The Congress supports terrorists raised by Pakistan rather than supporting the Indian Army. It protects the intruders and anti -national forces.”
He also claimed that the Congress ruled Assam for decades, but built “only three bridges” on the Brahmaputra river, while the BJP -led government built six such bridges in the last 10 years.
He also praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who “pulled out the intruders from the encroached land and ensured that farmers could now cultivate these plots.”
The Prime Minister insisted that India is emerging as one of the fastest growing economies in the world and said that the growth rate of Assam is 13 percent.
The Prime Minister said, “This has been possible with the efforts of the government with double engine. The central and state governments are developing Assam as a health center. The Northeast has a major role in realizing the dream of ‘developed India’.”
‘Operation vermilion succeeded with the blessings of mother Kamakhya’
Addressing a public meeting during his first visit to Assam after Operation Sindoor, PM Modi said, “Yesterday was my first visit to Assam after Operation Sindoor. Operation Sindoor was a big success with the blessings of mother Kamakhya. Today I am coming to this earth and I am having a different sacred feeling.”
While wishing the public on the occasion of Janmashtami celebrations in Durang, Prime Minister Modi recalled his Independence Day speech and appreciated the idea of ”Sudarshan Chakra” for national security.
He said, “It is also icing on the cake that Janmashtami is being celebrated in this area today. I said from the Red Fort, I remember Chakradhari Mohan. I missed Shri Krishna, and I have put the idea of Sudarshan Chakra in the future security policy in front of people.”
The Prime Minister said, “This region is the center of identity of Assam. I am fortunate that I have got an opportunity to see this land full of inspiration and courage.”
In his Independence Day address from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the ambitious “Sudarshan Chakra Mission”, which aims to strengthen India’s national security in the next decade.
He had told the Red Fort, “In the next ten years, by 2035, I want to expand, strengthen and modernize this national security shield. Taking inspiration from Lord Shri Krishna, we have chosen the path of Sudarshan Chakra.”
He said, “The Rashtra will launch the Sudarshan Chakra Mission. Using the talent of our youth, the entire modern system should be research, development and construction in India. This powerful system will not only combat terrorist attacks, but will also retaliate on terrorists.”
“India aims to develop its defense system such as Iron Dome, named Mission Sudarshan Chakra, designed to protect important sites including civilian areas,” he said.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Darang Medical College and Hospital, GNM School and BSC Nursing College in Darrang, Assam.
He also laid the foundation stone of the Guwahati Ring Road Project, which will increase urban mobility, reduce traffic congestion and improve contact in and around the capital city.
He also laid the foundation stone of the Kuruva-Nargi Bridge on the Brahmaputra river, which will improve the contact and promote socio-economic development in the region.
