Rohit Shetty firing case: Custody of accused arrested from Agra till 25th February, Deepak had fired the bullet

Mumbai Mumbai Crime Branch presented accused Vishnu Kushwaha, arrested from Agra in the firing incident at film maker Rohit Shetty’s house in Juhu, in the MCOCA court, where the court has sent him to custody till February 25. Advocate Dilip Shukla said that the accused was produced in the special MCOCA court, where the court sent him to the custody of Mumbai Crime Branch till February 25. With this, a total of 12 accused have been arrested in the case. Among the arrested accused, the names of Jatin Vishnu Kushwaha, Ramesh Bhardwaj, Sonu Kumar, Vishal Thakur, Sunny Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Hrithik Vinod Singh Yadav and Deepak Chandra have emerged. At the same time, new revelations are coming to light every day in the police investigation. According to the latest information, before the firing the accused had conducted recce of Rohit Shetty’s house. This Reiki was done four to five times between January 18 and January 31. Main accused Deepak Ramesh Chandra opened fire, while four people including Sunny, Sonu and an absconding accused were involved in the incident. Deepak was at the spot at the time of firing, other accused were present nearby, but not at the spot.
The accused Sonu has been living in Kalyan for about two years, where he used to work related to supply of arms. A few months ago, he had returned to his village Agra, but got connected with other accused through old contacts. After firing at Rohit Shetty’s house, all four reached Kalyan station separately and took a train from there and fled to Agra.
The incident took place on the night of February 1, when four to five rounds were fired outside Rohit Shetty’s house. Rohit Shetty or anyone else was not hurt. After the incident, police have increased security in the area. The crime branch has made arrests from various states and investigation of mobile, call details and other evidence is going on. MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act) has been imposed on the accused in the case.
On the other hand, no direct connection of these accused has come to light yet in the case of threat received by Ranveer Singh, but the police said that this aspect will also be interrogated. The role of a big gang is being suspected in the investigation.
