New Delhi, February 18 (IANS). Purnia MP Pappu Yadav gave a sharp reaction on the NEET student death case. He said that the doctors, hospital staff and all possible persons concerned should be interrogated in this matter. The MP demanded to preserve the entire CCTV footage of the ICU, conduct DNA test of the concerned persons and conduct a transparent review of the post-mortem report.
He said that if the student died under suspicious circumstances, then a scientific and impartial investigation of every aspect is necessary. CBI, which is investigating the case, is expected to act impartially, but to ensure justice, the court should also consider taking suo motu cognizance.
On the other hand, MP Pappu Yadav expressed concern over data security and digital infrastructure and said that there is a need for concrete policy and control regarding data management in India. He claimed that there is a danger of information related to banking and digital transactions reaching foreign countries. Pappu Yadav said that if the savings of the middle class and lower middle class are being affected through cyber means and they are not being heard, then it is a serious situation.
In the context of technological competition, Pappu Yadav said that countries like America and China have progressed a lot in the field of AI, whereas India still has a long way to go.
He said that big events alone do not establish technological leadership, but strong infrastructure and secure digital ecosystem is needed. The benefits of technology should reach the common citizen and digital security should be a top priority.
Pappu Yadav also reacted to Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar’s comparison of Rahul Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. He said that in political discourse, discussion on policies and actions should be more important than comparison of personalities.
