Bharatpur. Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, Chairman of State Finance Commission, Government of Rajasthan, was on a one-day visit to Bharatpur on Thursday. On the concluding day of the 293rd Bharatpur Sthapana Mahotsav, the Municipal Corporation organized Rangoli decoration programs at major intersections of the city and gave messages of cleanliness, unity and cultural pride.
Swabhiman March rally organized on the last day of Sthapana Mahotsav passed through Hiradas Circle, Laxman Temple, Government Museum and Multi Purpose School and concluded at Maharaja Surajmal Memorial traffic intersection. Public representatives, social organizations, students and citizens participated enthusiastically in the rally. The city’s glorious tradition was paid tribute to by offering floral tributes at Maharaja Surajmal Memorial. Addressing the Swabhiman March and floral tribute program, Dr. Chaturvedi praised the seven-day programs. He said that this series of cultural, historical and social activities is an effective medium to introduce the new generation to the sacrifice, struggle and self-respect of Bharatpur. He said that despite many invaders, the rulers of Bharatpur never compromised and kept the land of Lohagarh unconquered. Such events inculcate patriotism and devotion among the youth.
Dr. Chaturvedi said that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is of Bharatpur origin and with his inspiration the Foundation Day has been given special grandeur this time. Praising Lohagarh Development Council, he said that the council has been organizing the foundation day continuously for the last 17 years and this time it has also got full support from the district administration. He described all the three budgets of the Bhajan Lal government as public friendly and the state government has implemented schemes keeping in mind the needs of each section. Under the “Rising Rajasthan” initiative, investment proposals worth more than Rs 30 lakh crore have been received, out of which works worth about Rs 8 lakh crore are being implemented on ground.
Praising the financial policies and development-oriented programs of the Rajasthan government, Dr. Chaturvedi said that the state is moving on the path of continuous progress. On this occasion, District Collector Qamar Chaudhary, Commissioner BDA Kanishk Kataria, Additional Collector City Rahul Saini, SDM Bharti Gupta, Girdhari Tiwari, District Coordinator Lohagarh Development Council Yogesh Sharma, Coordinator Anurag Garg, CO Scout Devendra Kumar Meena along with other officers, Scout Guides and Rovers Rangers and students were present.
