Yamunanagar. In the city’s posh area Model Town, firing incidents outside Barnala Jewelers late at night caused panic. On hearing the sound of firing, there was a stampede around and people were scared. This incident has once again raised serious questions on the security system of the city. According to the information, three youths appeared on the bike in CCTV footage. They stayed outside the shop for some time and then left. The police is currently under investigation on the basis of footage, but the identity of the accused is not yet clear.
Second firing incident in 24 hours
This is the second firing in the district within the last 24 hours. Earlier, miscreants opened fire by miscreants in the house of an immigration operator in Sadhaura. In that incident, the police took immediate action and arrested a young man. People hoped that the criminals would be encouraged after the arrest, but the next day, the situation has become more worrying due to a shooting at a high-profile location like Model Town.
Fear in merchant class
There is an atmosphere of deep concern and fear in the business class, especially due to the frequent firing incidents. Traders are already struggling with economic pressure, such incidents from above have deepened the crisis on their safety. Local traders have demanded police to strengthen the security system.

The crimes were stopped to some extent since Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal took charge in Yamunanagar. But two consecutive incidents have once again questioned the functioning of the police. This audacity of miscreants has made it clear that they are not afraid to openly challenge the police.
Police investigation continues
Police is searching for the accused based on CCTV footage in the Model Town firing case. Officials say the miscreants will be arrested soon. At present, the deployment of police force in the area has been increased and the security system is being claimed to harden.
