Tata is preparing to launch 3 more new electric cars in India this year

Tata Motors, the leader in the electric passenger vehicle segment with more than 50 percent market share in India, is set to further strengthen its lead this year. The company is going to launch three new electric cars in this calendar year. Recently Tata Harrier EV has been introduced, while the updated Tata Punch EV has also arrived in the market. Here we have given information about 3 electric cars to be launched this year.

1. Tata Tiago EV Facelift

Recently Tiago EV has been seen during testing. New LED headlights, sharp DRL, changed nose design and new bumper can be found in its front. The larger ORVMs are likely to get a 360-degree camera system. Apart from this, new aero-style wheels, electric sunroof, changed tail lamp and new rear bumper can also be found.

Better quality materials and finishes can be provided in the interior. Features may include wireless phone charging, more connected car technology, larger touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster and new steering wheel design. There is a possibility that it will also be given a 30 kWh battery pack with Punch EV, which will improve the range.

2.Tata Avinya

Tata may introduce the first production model of its Avinya range by the end of the second half of 2026. This will be the company’s premium electric sub-brand, which will be positioned above the existing EV lineup. Shown earlier as a concept, this model is likely to have a sportback body style and will be based on a local version of JLR’s EMA platform.

3. Tata Sierra EV

The electric version of the Sierra will capitalize on the popularity of its petrol/diesel models. It can get two battery pack options, which can provide a driving range of about 500 km on a single charge. It will also have fast charging support. In terms of design, it will remain similar to its ICE model, but a closed grille and some minor changes will be seen.

It will be positioned above the Tata Curvv EV. It may also get a 55 kWh battery pack (from the Curve EV), a 65 kWh battery (from the Harrier EV) and possibly a larger 75 kWh dual-motor setup. Its sales have been confirmed to start in the second quarter of this year.
